Rostein Fish Carrier

I did the exterior design for this fish carrier while employed with Hareide Design. The vessel was designed in close cooperation between Rostein AS, Naviera Orca Chile ltd and Skipskompetanse AS. The project has led to a range of innovations and was originally initiated as a feasibility study with financial support from Innovation Norway - Sogn og Fjordane.

The vessel is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and engines and has diesel-electric propulsion. The vessel is arranged for closed transport with CO2 filters, filtering and UV treatment on water inlets and outlets. Rostein's proprietary and patented BlueMist washing and disinfection system is also installed on Ro Arctic.
